HandyHeat Heating cable: Twin-conductor teflon-insulated heating cable with concentric construction. 20 watts per meter, operating voltage 230vac. The cable is designed to be installed in concrete (usually 60-100 mm). Available in lengths from 12-150 metres.
The effect need for floor heating can vary according to the room's heat loss. In general, an output of 100-150 watts per m2 in a new building or extension and up to 200 watts per m2 in a garden room where rapid heating is recommended.
The cable can also be used directly under stone and tiled floors.
Embedded cables are economical to install and designed to be used where constant heat is recommended. In rooms where the demand for heat changes (for example in garden rooms and conservatories), we recommend HandyMat with insulation boards.
